Discover Norrköping!
Come and discover our fine old city, Norrköping. There’s such a lot to see and do.
Norrköping - where the past and the future meet. Instead of tearing down and rebuilding great factories when they were closed down, Norrköping’s local authorities took care to preserve the city’s unique industrial heritage.
The result became a thriving centre for development, education and culture. It’s where you can see our beautiful waterfalls along the river Motala Ström, visit “The Museum of Work”, the old cotton factory, “The iron” in the middle of the Ström, the City Museum, and the new Culture and Congress building, “Louis De Geer”, where you can, for example, enjoy performances by the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra and many others.
In the city centre most things are close at hand, and many people enjoy shopping here - there’s a good mix of boutiques, cafes and restaurants, and, in the evenings, a thriving nightlife scene.
A stone’s throw from Hotel Drott you’ll find the charming area of “Knäppingen”, with its small boutiques, market squares and restaurants. Why not relax with a cup of coffee in one of the pavement cafes?
Here in Norrköping you’ll find many attractions close at hand - good fishing right in the centre of the city, spacious parks, a cactus garden, rock carvings at Himmelstalund, swimming pools at Himmelstalund and Lindö, the lovely bathing spots of the Östgötska archipelago, Kolmården’s Zoo, Go-Cart tracks, several bowling centres, to name but a few.
It’s only a short car journey between golf courses, and the airport - well, that’s within walking distance!
Our reception staff will be delighted to give you tips about Norrköping’s many attractions.
